How often it updates
The live centre polls for new data every three seconds. A round submitted by a judge appears within one poll. The home page's live card updates the same way.
Why live scores are "unofficial"
Live scores show what judges have submitted. The final result is entered by officials when the bout ends and creates pending bouts for both fighters. An administrator then verifies the result before it enters the ranking.

Reading judges' scores
Most rounds are scored 10-9. A 10-8 usually means a dominant round, often with a knockdown. Watching the running totals helps you see how a bout is going, but judges score independently and the final decision comes from their official cards.

When judges lose signal
If a judge's device is offline, rounds are queued on the device and synced when the signal returns. You may see a round appear slightly later, but nothing is lost or duplicated.

Understanding the card statuses
The live centre shows tonight's card with each bout's status. Typical statuses are upcoming (not yet started), live (in progress, with the current round) and finished (final result entered by officials). A finished result on the live centre is still pending for ranking purposes until an administrator verifies it.

When a bout ends early
If a bout ends by KO, TKO or submission, the live centre shows the rounds scored up to that point, and the officials enter the final result with method, round and time. The card status changes to finished. As with every result, it becomes part of the fighters' verified records and rankings once an administrator verifies it.
