The rule
A successful KBN title defence adds +75 base points to the bout in which the title was defended. It stacks with the other base points, and the total is then multiplied by the event level and the time value like any other bout.

Worked example
A champion defends a KBN title at a KBN World Cup and wins by TKO, five months ago: (5 + 20 + 5 + 75) × 2.5 × 100% = 262.5 points. Eighteen months later the same result is worth 105 × 2.5 × 50% = 131.25, rounded to one decimal as 131.3. After 24 months it contributes 0, though the defence remains on the verified record.
Who sets the flag
The title-defence flag is set on the bout by an administrator. It is not something athletes can claim for themselves in the application, and it is not inferred automatically from event names. As with every decision that changes points, setting or removing the flag is recorded in the audit log with who, when, and before and after values.
An open decision
KBN's documents say a "successful KBN title defence" earns +75 but do not define exactly which titles count. Until the Ranking Committee confirms the definition, the platform uses a simple, transparent default: an administrator sets the flag on the bout. The questions still to be confirmed include:
- Which titles qualify: only KBN world titles, or also continental and national KBN titles?
- Whether a defence must be scheduled as such in advance.
- How a draw in a title bout is treated.
When the Committee decides, the rule will be published and applied to every athlete equally.

A champion who wins a tournament final receives +100 on the final. A defence bout, usually a single bout rather than a bracket, receives +75. Both are added once, on the deciding bout.
Why a defence is rewarded
A ranking built only on wins and event level would treat a defence like any other bout. The bonus recognises that a champion is taking on the strongest available challenger and risking the title. It also encourages active champions: a belt holder who defends regularly keeps their points fresh as older results expire.
Evidence for a title bout
If you believe a bout was a KBN title defence, include in your evidence the official fight card or announcement showing the bout was contested for the title, and the official result. The administrator decides whether to set the flag, and the decision is audited.
