Licence & certificate terms

1. The documents

1.1KBN issues two official documents: the KBN Fighter Ranking License (with a KBN Fighter ID) and the Certificate of Official World Ranking. Both are rendered from the live register and carry a QR code that opens the verify page.

2. Issue

2.1A Fighter ID (format KBN-{country code}-{number}) and a Fighter Ranking License (format KBN-L-{year}-{number}) are issued only by KBN World HQ after identity and results have been verified.

2.2A Certificate of Official World Ranking (format KBN-WR-{year}-{number}) is issued when the athlete's ranking is published.

2.3Numbers are unique, issued in sequence and never reused. Issue is recorded in the audit log with the name of the person who issued it.

2.4Documents are issued in digital form on the athlete's profile and portal, with PDF download. Fees, if any, are set out in the Fees & refunds policy; no fee affects the content of a document.

3. Validity

3.1A licence is valid from its issue date for one year less one day, unless renewed, suspended or revoked earlier. It may be renewed by KBN.

3.2A certificate records the athlete's position and points at the moment it was generated. Positions change as results age and new results are verified. The verify page is the authority: a printed or downloaded document is evidence only of what the register showed when it was generated.

3.3Each PDF records the date and time it was generated.

4. Conditions of use

4.1The licence and certificate remain the property of KBN. They are valid only when confirmed online or through their QR code at worldkbn.com/verify, and only for the stated discipline, category and weight class.

4.2A licence entitles the holder to compete in KBN-sanctioned events only while the holder has valid medical clearance and is not suspended, and subject to the rules of each event (see Event participant terms).

4.3The holder may share and print their own documents to prove their status. Altering, transferring, duplicating for another person or presenting an expired or suspended document as valid is prohibited, invalidates the document and may lead to disciplinary action and referral to the authorities.

5. Suspension, reinstatement and revocation

5.1KBN World HQ may suspend or revoke a licence for a breach of the Code of conduct & disciplinary rules, an anti-doping rule violation, a medical suspension, false information in an application, or failure to comply with a decision of a KBN body.

5.2Suspension is recorded with a reason, shown immediately on the verify page, and removes the athlete from published tables until reinstated. The athlete is told the reason and how to challenge it under the Complaints & appeals procedure.

5.3Reinstatement is recorded in the same way and restores eligibility from the reinstatement date.

6. Verification and forgery

6.1Anyone may verify a licence number, certificate number or Fighter ID at worldkbn.com/verify. The page shows whether the document is valid, active, suspended or expired, or that no matching record exists. It never shows identity documents or contact details.

6.2A document whose number is not in the register, or whose details do not match the register, is not valid. Please report suspected forgeries to holdingkbn@gmail.com.

7.1Documents shown on a site marked "Demo environment" are samples and are not valid licences or certificates.
