Photography & media consent

1. Filming and photography at events

1.1KBN-sanctioned events may be photographed, filmed, broadcast and streamed by KBN, the organiser and accredited media. Notices at the venue and on tickets will say so.

1.2Athletes, officials and team members: images of you competing or officiating, weighing in, at press conferences and on the podium are part of the public record of the sport. KBN relies on its legitimate interest in reporting and promoting the sport to use them in results, the media hub, news, the live centre, broadcasts and social channels. Commercial uses beyond that (for example advertising a sponsor's product) require your separate agreement, which may be part of your bout agreement.

1.3Spectators: you may appear in crowd shots. We do not deliberately focus on individual spectators for promotional use without their agreement.

2. Minors

2.1Under Art. 17 of the Executive Statute, images of athletes under 18 are not used for publicity or commercial purposes without written parental or guardian consent. Minors' portraits are never shown on their public profile.

3. The media hub and news

3.1Photos and videos in the media hub and news are published by KBN editors and credited where possible. Photographs remain the property of their owners and are used under licence. Videos from YouTube are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (see Cookie policy).

3.2Portraits uploaded by athletes are used on their licence, certificate and (for adults) their public profile. Changes to a portrait need administrator approval.

4. Your right to object

4.1You can object to the use of an image or video of you at any time by writing to holdingkbn@gmail.com with the link or a description. We will stop using it for promotion and remove it from the media hub and news unless there are compelling reasons to keep it (for example it is the official record of a result or it is news reporting in the public interest). We cannot recall material already broadcast or published by third-party media, but we will tell them about your request where practical.

4.2If you are the copyright owner of an image used without permission, use the Copyright & takedown procedure.

5. Taking your own photos and video

5.1Spectators may take photos and short clips for personal use unless the organiser or the broadcaster prohibits it at the venue. Commercial recording, live streaming or redistribution of bouts requires the organiser's and rights holder's permission.
