Asian Games boxing: twenty more boxers guarantee medals in Nishio

World Boxing reports that twenty boxers secured semi-final places — and therefore medals — on Sunday 27 September as the quarter-finals continued at Nishio Gymnasium, across women’s 54 kg and 65 kg and men’s 60 kg, 80 kg and +90 kg.

In the women’s 54 kg, Japan’s Tsukimi Namiki beat Chinese Taipei’s Huang Hsiao-wen, Thailand’s Natnicha Chongprongklang edged Uzbekistan’s Nigina Uktamova on a split decision, and DPR Korea’s Pang Chol Mi won inside the first round.
