How to follow fighters on KBN: alerts, profiles and your fan account

Most of KBN is open to everyone: rankings, fighter profiles, events, the live centre and the verify page need no login. A free fan account adds one thing: following fighters and getting alerts about them.

Create a fan account

Register with your e-mail address and a password. You must be at least 16 to create a fan account. Verify your e-mail from the link you receive.

Follow fighters

Open any fighter's profile and tap Follow. Your follows appear in the KBN app under your follows tab.

Alerts

Turn on push notifications in the KBN app to receive:

• Rank changes for fighters you follow.
• Alerts when a followed fighter's fight is starting.

You can switch notifications off at any time in your browser or device settings.

The KBN app installs from the browser on iOS and Android. It gives you a home, live, rankings, fighters and follows tab, and works offline for pages you have opened.

Reading a profile

A fighter profile shows:

• Five ranking-status boxes, including world, continental and national positions.
• The points breakdown, bout by bout: event, level, result, base × multiplier × time value.
• A 12-month points chart.
• The verified record and next bout.
• The verify link for their licence.

Only verified results are shown. Applicants in review show a stage tracker and no points.

What you will not see

Identity documents, contact details and medical information are never public. For athletes under 18, the public profile is limited to name, country and division.

KBN Social

If you are 18 or over, you can also join KBN Social, the members' network, to post and follow fighters, coaches and officials. It has its own account and community rules.

Getting more from rankings as a fan

• Use the filters on the rankings page: scope, discipline, category, gender and weight class.
• Share a table: the filters are in the URL.
• Check the movement arrows to see who is rising.
• Open a fighter's points breakdown to see which results matter most, and when they will halve.

Understanding the five ranking-status boxes

Each fighter profile shows a set of ranking-status boxes near the top. Together they summarise the fighter's standing: world position, continental position, national position, points and verified record. For applicants still in review, a stage tracker replaces them, and no points are shown.

Why the points breakdown is worth reading

The breakdown lists every verified bout with its event, level, result, base points, multiplier, time value and points. Reading it tells you:

• Which results carry the fighter's ranking.
• When those results will halve (at 12 months) or expire (at 24 months).
• Whether the fighter has competed at high-level events.

It is the best way to understand why a fighter is where they are, and what their next bout could change.

Following a whole division

You can bookmark a rankings URL with filters for a specific division. Because the filters live in the URL, the bookmark always opens the same table with the latest data.

Privacy for fans

Your follows are part of your account and are used to send you alerts. You can delete your fan account at any time; accounts inactive for three years are removed, as the privacy notice explains. KBN uses only strictly necessary cookies and no analytics cookies.
