Russia has a large and technically strong combat sports community, spanning kickboxing, boxing, MMA and national grappling traditions such as sambo. With so many athletes and events, a verified record matters: it separates official, documented results from the many unofficial bouts that circulate online. KBN Russia is the branch that verifies Russian athletes' records for the KBN World Ranking.
The branch
KBN Russia is based in Moscow and runs its page at worldkbn.com/russia. It verifies applications from athletes whose KBN country is Russia, prepares Russian events for sanctioning and maintains its board and clubs. Only KBN World HQ can issue Fighter IDs, licences and certificates or publish rankings.

Evidence tips
- Upload Russian-language result sheets and federation letters in the original; add a short English description.
- Transliteration of names varies (for example between passport and fight posters). Tell the branch how your name appears in each document.
- For large national championships, the federation's official results page is ideal evidence.
- MMA athletes should record submissions exactly as officially recorded: in MMA a submission win earns the same +5 finishing bonus as a KO or TKO.
Sambo and other disciplines
The KBN ranking's priority disciplines are MMA, Kickboxing, Boxing and Muay Thai. Other individual martial arts, such as combat sambo, need approval from the Technical Committee before they can be ranked. A sambo bout never counts in an MMA table; each discipline is ranked separately.

Russian athletes appear in the Russia national table, the European continental table and the world table for their division.
For clubs and organisers in Russia
Organisers running regular events can ask KBN Russia to create them as drafts for sanctioning. International events should document foreign participation, officials and medical cover. Results from sanctioned events count for every athlete who competed, in their own country's tables.

What happens after you are ranked
Once KBN World HQ publishes your ranking, your profile shows your national rank in Russia, your continental rank and your world rank, with a bout-by-bout points breakdown and a 12-month points chart. Your licence and certificate are available in your fighter portal and carry QR codes that resolve on the verify page. Keep submitting new verified results: they replace older results as those halve at 12 months and expire at 24 months.
Working with your branch
Your branch is your first contact for questions about your application, document requests and event sanctioning in Russia. Its page lists the board and contact details. For decisions made by KBN World HQ, such as event levels, licences and publication, the branch can forward questions with a recommendation, and the complaints and appeals procedure applies if you disagree with a decision.

Yes, if the events have a KBN level and the results can be verified. Your tables follow your KBN country.
QAre combat sambo bouts ranked?
Not currently as a priority discipline. Other martial arts need Technical Committee approval, and each discipline has its own tables.

KBN World HQ, in the format KBN-RU-{sequence}.
QCan KBN Russia see applications from other countries?
No. Branch administrators can only see and act on their own country's records.
