The fastest way to destroy a ranking is to let money influence it. Athletes, fans and promoters stop trusting the numbers, and the titles and certificates built on them become worthless. KBN's first non-negotiable rule is therefore simple: ranking points are earned only through verified sporting performance and can never be purchased.
What the rule covers
- No fee creates, increases or protects points.
- No sponsorship, donation or membership affects a result, event level or ranking position.
- No payment speeds up or changes a verification decision.
- No federation, branch or promotion can buy a higher multiplier for its event.
Any fee KBN may charge relates only to administrative review of an application, membership of the federation or the issuance of documents. During the founding period no application fee is charged.
How the software enforces it
The rule is not just a policy statement. It is built into how the platform works:
- Points are never stored as a number someone can edit. They are calculated by the ranking engine from verified bouts, every time.
- No admin screen has a "points" field. Administrators can approve or reject a bout, set an event level (HQ only) or reduce a multiplier, and each of those actions is audited.
- Applicants never see an estimated point total during registration, so there is nothing to "negotiate".
- Every state change is recorded in the audit log: who, what, when, from which role and branch, with before and after values.
- Branch administrators can only see and act on their own country's records.
Where integrity risks really are
Money is the obvious risk, but not the only one. The system also guards against:
- Invented events: an unknown event has no level and scores zero until KBN World HQ assigns one.
- Inflated events: HQ can reduce a multiplier or reject an event (×0).
- Fabricated results: every bout needs official evidence and can be rejected with a reason.
- Old results: anything older than 24 months scores zero.
- Farming no-contests: a no contest earns 0 points by default.
Sponsors and partners
KBN welcomes sponsors and partners for events, education and athlete support. Sponsorship can appear on event pages and in media, but it is structurally separate from the ranking. A sponsor's athlete is ranked exactly like everyone else.

What to do if someone offers you points for money
Anyone who offers to sell ranking points, a higher position, a KBN licence or a certificate is misrepresenting KBN. Do not pay. Report it to holdingkbn@gmail.com with whatever evidence you have. Attempting to influence a verification, ranking or officiating decision by payment, threat or favour is prohibited conduct under the Code of Conduct.
Why this matters for athletes
A ranking that cannot be bought is worth more to the athletes in it. A World No. 1 position that everyone knows was earned in verified bouts is something a fighter can take to promoters, sponsors and national teams. The certificate and licence carry weight because the verify page shows a register that money cannot change.

- Is the formula published?
- Is every result verified against official evidence?
- Can anyone check a licence or certificate in a public register?
- Is there an audit trail of decisions?
- Is any fee linked to a result, a level or a position?
If the answer to the last question is yes, the ranking is not independent.
